I just received my home daycare license last week after quite a long process. I am so excited to finally have my license and be able to start advertising and enrolling children. It has been a passion of mine for a while to open our home to children during the day while their parents are working. I love being able to stay home with my daughter, but I realize that not everyone is given this choice. Therefore, daycare is needed. My desire is to fill this need with a great environment that is safe, loving, fun, and provides children with opportunity to explore, create, grow, and exercise the great potential that they have been given!
I know there will be days when this task seems impossible. I know there are going to be difficult days, messy days, cranky days, but I am so excited for the opportunity to help enrich the lives of children for the few hours a day they are in my home. Although there will be difficult days, there will also be days full of laughter, excitement, and the reward of seeing children "get" a new concept we are learning. Those are the days that make it all worth it. Those are the days I look forward to.
